Getting started
Import up to 2 lakh contacts in one go
Bulk-import a CSV of opted-in contacts with automatic deduplication, validation, and a full import report.
Prepare the CSV
The importer needs a phone column (E.164 format, e.g. +919876543210) and accepts optional columns like name, city, and tags. The first row must be headers.
One file can carry up to 2,00,000 rows. Rows with malformed numbers are skipped — never silently rewritten — and reported back to you.
Run the import
- Go to Contacts → Import CSV and pick your file.
- Confirm that these contacts opted in to WhatsApp messages. AiConva records the opt-in source; campaigns only ever target opted-in contacts.
- Start the import. It runs as a background job, so you can keep working — large files take a few minutes.
- Open the import report when it finishes: created, updated (deduped by phone number), and skipped counts, with the reason for every skipped row.
Existing contacts are updated, not duplicated — re-importing the same file is safe.
After the import
Tag imported batches (e.g. diwali-leads-2026) so you can segment them later, and run a small test campaign to a 10-contact segment before broadcasting to the full list. Your number's quality rating is a Meta metric worth protecting.
