Use chatbot parameters to qualify leads

Capture name, city, budget, and any custom attribute from WhatsApp conversations and store them on the contact automatically.

What parameters are

Parameters (attributes) are named values stored on a contact — city, budget, product interest, language. Flows can write them when a customer answers a question, and campaigns can segment on them later.

AiConva has two kinds: contact attributes (per person) and global attributes (workspace-wide values such as store hours you can inject into any reply).

Define your attributes

  1. Open Manage → User attributes and add the fields you want to capture, e.g. city, budget, interest.
  2. Keep names short and lowercase — you'll reference them in flows and segments.
  3. In Flows → Global attributes, add shared values like support_hours or store_address once, and reuse them in every automated reply.

Capture answers in a flow

  1. Create a flow with a keyword trigger (e.g. "price").
  2. Ask one question per step: "Which city should we deliver to?"
  3. Map the customer's answer to the city attribute in the step's save-response setting.
  4. Finish the flow by tagging the contact (e.g. hot-lead) so the sales view picks them up.
Agents can also set attributes by hand: open any conversation in Live Chat and edit the contact panel on the right.

Use the data

Build a segment like city = Bengaluru AND budget > 5000 on the Contacts page, preview its size, and target it with a template campaign. The campaign estimate shows the exact audience count and cost before anything sends.
